Every company starts with an itch. Ours started in a decommissioning bay, watching a forklift carry perfectly good GPU servers toward a shredding contract. One of us had spent a career keeping datacenter hardware alive; the other had spent one squeezing performance out of GPU clusters. Watching that pallet roll away, the itch became a plan.
The AI boom has a supply problem and a waste problem, and they're the same problem. Compute demand is compounding, new silicon is scarce and expensive, and at the exact same time, enterprises retire benchmark-passing hardware on schedule, not on merit. Somebody should be standing between that hardware and the shredder. As of today, somebody is.
HygeiaCloud is named for Hygieia, the Greek goddess of health, because we think the compute industry's health depends on a circular model: rescue, certify, redeploy. High performance, low waste, honest pricing. That's the whole pitch.
